Five Pack Action DVD - The Bourne Identity, The Jackal, The Game, Assault on Precinct 13, Spy Game
This great box set includes the following titles:
The Bourne Identity:
Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Identity, the first in his trio of international thrillers featuring master spy Jason Bourne, was a sensation when it was published in 1980. Now this potent novel gets an edgy 21st century spin from director Doug Liman (Swingers, Go). The story opens as an amnesiac (Damon) is rescued at sea by the crew of an Italian fishing boat. Nearly dead, he carries only the bullets in his back and the bank account number implanted in his hip. Although completely without identity or background, he does possess an array of extraordinary talents in fighting, linguistics and self-defence that speak of a dangerous past. He sets out on a desperate search assisted by the initially rebellious Marie (Potente) to discover who he really is, and why so many people want him dead.
The Jackal:
A ruthless assassin (Willis) has been hired to eliminate someone at the very top of the U.S. government. Constantly changing his identity and location, he is known only as the Jackal. Everything about this hit man, including his sinister timetable, is a secret. Aware of the Jackal's presence but uncertain of his purpose, the FBI's Deputy Director (Poitier) faces the biggest challenge of his career. In order to track down this cold-blooded killer, he and by-the-book Russian intelligence officer (Diane Venora) enlist the aid of an imprisoned Irish terrorist (Gere). These unlikely allies enter a global race against the clock to stop the mysterious mercenary before he can complete his deadly assignment.
The Game:
Nicholas Van Orton is a shrewdly successful businessman who is accustomed to being in control of each facet of his investments and relationships. His well-ordered life undergoes a profound change, however, when his brother Conrad gives him an unexpected birthday gift that soon has devastating consequences. There are no rules in The Game.
Assault on Precinct 13:
During a New Year's Eve snowstorm, most-wanted mobster, Marion Bishop (Laurence Fishburne), just captured, is temporarily incarcerated at the about-to-be-closed Precinct 13 - and the address received renewed, unwanted attention from all sides of the law. As sun sets and a long night begins, a fractious crew of policeman and prisoners, reluctantly captained by cop Jake Roenick (Ethan Hawke), must band together to fight off a team of heavily armed rogues that want to extract Bishop at any cost.
Spy Game:
When a top-secret, unauthorized mission goes bad, CIA agent Tom Bishop (Pitt) is captured - and sentenced to die. With just 24-hours to get him out alive, Bishop's boss Nathan Muir (Redford) must battle enemies abroad and the system inside the CIA to save his friend. Now, the clock is ticking and the race is on... as the deadliest game of all explodes into the spectacular, adrenaline-fuelled thriller!
