Five Pack Comedy DVD - American Pie, Pledge This!, The Long Weekend, Accepted, 40 Days and 40 Nights
This great box set includes the following titles:
American Pie:
American Pie takes a hysterical look at the goal of Jim, Oz, Kevin and Finch, four "unlucky in love" high school friends who make the pact: lose their virginity by prom night. As they try to manipulate their way into the... hearts of some of their classmates, their plans often backfire with hilarity.
Pledge This!:
Victoria English (Paris Hilton) is the wealthy and snobbish president of Gamma Gamma sorority of South Beach University in Miami, Florida. When Victoria learns that FHM Magazine is nominating them for "Best Sorority of the Year", with her photo on the front cover of the next issue, Victoria plots to integrate her all-blonde and wealthy sorority. One of Victoria's pledges, Kristen Haas (Sarah Carter), suggests her ex-friend Gloria (Paula Garces) to pledge, along with six of her misfit dorm mates who include: DJ spinner Monique; an Indian exchange student nicknamed PooPoo; divorcée Kathy, who is seeking to relive her youth by going back to college; fat Southern belle Maxine; weird Goth girl Babs; and suicide-chick Tonya. The seven pledges are force to go through the most outrageous initiations to be accepted. But when they learn that it was all an act, Gloria teams up with Victoria's boyfriend, Derek, to settle the score.
The Long Weekend:
Overworked? Undersexed? So is advertising executive Ed Waxman (Brendan Fehr), who must come up with a great new ad campaign within 48 hours or he'll be fired. But his babe magnet brother, Cooper (Chris Klein), has other ideas: to get his stressed-out brother laid. From meeting single mothers to strippers to desperate older ladies, each dating encounter is a disaster. Ed has resigned himself to the fact that he's about to lose his job and will never have sex again...until he meets the woman of his dreams. Now, with hope and luck on his side, maybe - just maybe - he'll be able to save his job and have sex, all in the course of THE LONG WEEKEND.
Accepted:
High Schooler Bartleby Gaines [B to his friends] is on his way to scoring a perfect eight out of eight college rejection letters - which isn't going to go over big with his parents. At least he's not alone - several of his posse of oddball friends are in the same "college-less" boat. What's a guy to do, when he's facing a lifetime career as a convenience store clerk? Create his own college, of course. B. calls in some friendly favours - he has a techie buddy build a web site, convinces another friend's burnout uncle to pose as the dean, and organises a clean-up/building party at a local, abandoned mental hospital... and South Harmon Institute of Technology is born.
40 Days and 40 Nights:
Nicole broke up with Matt months ago and is now engaged to someone else. Matt is good-looking, and has no trouble finding other lovers, but he's still obsessed with her. Then he gets the inspiration that swearing off sex for Lent (all forms of sexual activity) will give him the perspective he needs. So, of course, a few days later, he meets a woman and they fall in love. Now Matt sees his vow as a personal matter, and won't even tell his new love about it - but his friends think otherwise - and the complications begin...
