This camera, for the money, is probably twice as good as I expected. the picture quality is fantastic under a wide range of lighting conditions and the speed and ease of use are as good as any SD card camera.While it comes with a battery charger, and uses a standard lithium video camera battery (do get a couple of spares) it doesn't have a power adapter, and even plugging in to a USB device won't allow you to shoot video as it puts the camera into hard disk mode.The audio level is not adjustable in the menus, and is set to quite a high gain. This is good for recording public speaking at a moderate distance, but for recording at closeup or in a noisy environment the ditortion is quite harsh. The picture quality alone is worth the [$] so get something like a Zoom H2 audio recorder if audio quality is important to you. It's better to have a mic close to the subject in wider shots anyway.That said, this is a great, "vanilla" point and shoot video camera for the money and

I researched video cams for a long time and for what I wanted it for, this was perfect! It looks exactly like a Kogan and the specs were almost identical but cost was a lot less. Very sharp images when the videos are played back on the TV. I was asked to video my brothers wedding using it!
