First digital tv I have owned so its hard to compare to other "brand" names but in its own right it seems to do the job just fine. Price is much much lower than anything else on the market in Australia so it would seem to be the perfect first digital tv dvd combo for anyone on a tight budget. Its easy to setup just click on the automatic scan function and it picks up all digital tv channels provided you have an adequate antenna of course which for most people will mean an external antenna as internal antennas arent usually sufficient for digital tv as I tried every internal antenna on the market with this tv and it didnt work.

i found the unit to be an excellent choice based on price for value , absolute ease of setting up plug in and away we go. happy viewing. fitted perfectly in the space of our old tv. love the inbuilt dvd. watching tele in bed has never been better. 5 stars to oo delivery of unit was sensational.

I wanted a TV for my bedroom/office and chose Nu-Tec as it is a quality, cheaper alternative to the bigger brands. This unit works for me and the room. Loved that I could plug it into antennae socket, hit auto programme and I was watching my first LCD/HD TV - In a word, all I wanted.

I am interested in buying this tv but do not have an external tv antenna - my current (analogue) tv operates with an indoor 'rabbit ears' antenna placed on top of it.
Does this tv need an external antenna in order to function properly? I saw a comment on one of the reviews about this product saying that no internal antenna seem to do the job for this tv...?

You give the number of KWH (kilowatt/hours) of electricity this set supposedly uses in a year - but this is meaningless to any reader as it does not say how long the set would be turned on for on average.
I have only solar electricity with no backup at my home so it is critical for me to know how much power the unit uses when on. Would you please look on the compliance plate and let me know the input power to the unit in watts or VA (volt-amps)?
Finally, in these days of concern about energy usage, it would be really helpful to have the input power shown for all your electrical appliances (but NOT the output power such as "music watts" or "RMS watts" which tell on very little about how much electricity the unit actually uses). They are basically industry numbers meant to imply their product is POWERFUL and LOUD.
