If a previously used output voltage saved in the minigorilla's memory is higher than the voltage a new device to be charged requires, the minigorilla will automatically shut off. In addition to if the USB and DC output ports are empty, minigorilla will automatically shut off after two minutes and if devices attached via USB and DC output port are fully charged, minigorilla will also shut off.

The additional power the minigorilla will give your devices is magnificent. You can count on up to 5-6 hours of extra power for your laptop at a 10.5V setting and up to 2 hours on other notebooks set at 19 volts - making it great for flights, bus rides and road trips.

Q: I have a Mac laptop / notebook. Is it compatible with the minigorilla?
A: Yes, providing you have a MagSafe Airline Adaptor (sold separately).

Q: I have a MacBook Air. Is it compatible with the minigorilla?
A: Yes, providing you have a MagSafe Airline Adaptor. Select 16V on the minigorilla - if the LCD screen flickers on the minigorilla, please switch off and reselect 19V.

Q: Can I use my device while charging the minigorilla?
A: The AC charger supplied with the minigorilla is 9V. You can simultaneously charge the minigorilla and your device from the mains as long as your device will accept 9V. minigorilla may shut down if it detects voltage incompatibility. However, charging the minigorilla and other devices via the 5V USB port - mobile, iPod, MP3/MP4 player, etc - is possible.

Q: Can I charge the minigorilla via the USB?
A: No, the USB uses a standard 5V which is not sufficient to power or charge the minigorilla.

Q: Does the minigorilla automatically recognise the voltage my device requires?
A: No, you have to select the correct voltage before connecting and turning your laptop computer on. The minigorilla will remember the voltage that was last selected though.

Q: How do I know what voltage my device requires to make it compatible with the minigorilla?
A: This can be found on the transformer of the AC adaptor or user guide supplied with your device.

Q: What happens if I select the incorrect voltage?
A: The minigorilla will not work to its optimum performance and the device may be damaged.
