Aramis Inc was started in 1964 as part of Estée Lauder Companies, Inc. The Aramis brand produces luxury fragrances and grooming products for men.

Estée Lauder began in 1946; the husband and wife team began producing cosmetics in New York City. Two years after founding the company, they established their first department store account with Saks Fifth Avenue in New York.

Over the next decade they continued to expand the range and to sell their products in the US. Today over 25 brands are manufactured by the Estée Lauder brand.
