Founded by the French fashion designer Loris Azzaro (February 9, 1933 – November 20, 2003), a Sicilian born in Tunisia, the Azzaro brand is the mirror image of its founder: hedonistic, sensual and glamorous.

Starting out in Paris in 1962, it did not take long for Loris Azarro to build his business; by 1968 Azzaro was a huge success. The Azzaro label continues to release clothing but is now more well known for their men's fragrance line.
