Infinity was founded in 1968 by Arnie Nudell, with the sole purpose of designing and manufacturing innovative loudspeakers.

In the 1980s, the Infinity IRS was considered the first-ever ultra-high end sound system, consisting of 4 towers with a total of 124 individual speakers, at a cost of around US$65,000.

Today, Infinity produces loudspeakers for a range of applications, including home theatres, car audio and even marine applications. The company is currently under Harman International ownership.
