Issey Miyake (born 22 April 1938) is a world famous Japanese fashion designer. He is well known for his men’s and women’s clothing collections and fragrances.

Born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan, he studied graphic design at the Tama Art University in Tokyo, graduating in 1964. After graduation, he worked in Paris and New York City. Then in 1970, he returned to Japan and founded the Miyake Design Studio.

His collections and labels include his main collection of men’s and women’s clothing, designer watches and a line of perfumes for both sexes. His first fragrance, the light aquatic-floral L'eau d'Issey for women, was launched in 1992. The flowing years he launched: L'eau d'Issey Pour Homme, L'eau Bleue d'Issey Pour Homme, L'eau Bleue d'Issey Eau Fraiche and L'eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense.
