JVC

JVC

'The Victor Talking Machine Company of Japan' was the original name of JVC when it was founded in 1927.

Initially producing phonographs and records, JVC (now officially Victor Company of Japan, Ltd.) quickly added radios, and then, in 1939, the first TVs in Japan to their portfolio of products.

JVC also developed the VHS format, and introduced the first VHS recorders for sale in 1977.

Nowadays, JVC is an international company based in Yokohama, and produces electronics for the consumer as well as the professional markets.
