Lancôme Paris is a prestigious French cosmetics brand, established in 1935 by Armand Petitjean. The brand logo, an artistic rose, was inspired by Petitjean’s love of roses, and by the wild roses growing around Le Château de Lancosme, a castle in the French countryside.

In 1964, Lancôme was acquired by L'Oréal, the world's largest cosmetics company, and Lancôme continues to operate under the Luxury Products division, with products in fragrance, skin care and makeup.
