Forming The Orla Kiely Partnership with her husband in 1997, Irish born Orla Kiely is a qualified textile designer that started her career in Dublin later moving to New York and finally settling in London. She set out to express visually her love of pattern, colour, texture and rhythm, which as components all play and work together.

Once described by The Guardian newspaper as the "Queen of Prints" Orla Kiely, began her work on hats, but then soon moved onto design work for handbags. Since then her designs have been used for a variety of objects including kitchenware, stationary, furniture, wallpaper and even a range of automobiles. Her instinctive graphic discipline to simplify and stylise everyday motifs and forms adds another dimension.
