Tom Ford is a leading American fashion designer and film director, best known for his designs in men’s and women’s luxury clothing, accessories, fragrances and cosmetics.

Tom Ford has been associated with some of the world’s biggest fashion houses, including Perry Ellis and Chloe. Ford is also famous for his turnaround of the Gucci fashion house. Promoted to creative director in 1994, Ford held the coveted position until 2004. When he left, the almost bankrupt fashion house had turned into a $10 billion company.

In April 2005, Ford announced the creation of the TOM FORD brand. Since its launch, the label’s eyewear and beauty collections have been hugely successful, ranked in the top 3 brands at specialty stores in the US.
